These wonderful tide clocks provide an "at-a-glance" indication of tidal state, by means of the blue hand showing high, low and half-tide. Works by following the lunar cycle - approx. 12.5 hours - thus reflecting the main influence of the tides.
Important: because the lunar cycle varies with Earth's, and other conditions also affect tides, there are times when the actual tides vary slightly with those indicated by the tide hand.
