The handsome, highly polished wooden cabinet, with brass hinges and fittings, incorporates nine numbered compartments with sliding wooden blocks for playing 'Shut the Hatch'. The lid has a green felted interior for dice throwing. There are five numbered dice, five poker dice, a set of three 'Crown and Anchor' dice and a doubling dice. A felt 'table' for playing Crown and anchor, the classic seafarers' gambling game, is included.
